A New Year...To Die For

The plot A New Year...To Die For is set at Doom Castle in the Scottish Highlands.  The year is 1925, and the dysfunctional McTavish Clan has assembled within the castle's ancient walls, their strained relationships echoing through the corridors like ghostly whispers.

The clan has come together not to celebrate, but to commemorate the life of Jock McTavish, who met his mysterious end on Christmas Eve just days before.

As the clan gather to hear the reading of Jock's Will they sense the palpable anticipation of a tale unravelling—a tale that is, quite literally, to die for.

An Operation...To Die For

It is 1965.  The setting is St Todifer’s General Hospital.  When 25 year old glamour model, Delores Dream, fails to wake after her supposedly successful operation, suspicions are raised. 

A private room paid for by her sugar daddy, Ronald Flush, should’ve ensured her safety, but no such luck.  Did someone sneak in?  Was the operation sabotaged?  Who could do such a thing?  All are gathered for interrogation by Inspector Tendall: doctors, nurses, patients, porters, cleaners, volunteers, the receptionist, even the surgeon.  It soon becomes clear that dear Delores has secrets from her past and it seems they have caught up with her!

A Talent Show...To Die For

Contestants in a TV reality programme are baffled when top judge, Simeon Lewok, is found dead in a locked room - the key still on the inside of the door. 

Among the curious characters under suspicion are Bendy Bess the Contortionist, Hypno Bob the Hypnotist, Slinky Selina the Snake Charmer. 

The plot thickens as the spotlight turns to other contestants, each possessing unique talents that could have been employed for lethal purposes.  Could their extraordinary skills be the instruments of a sinister plot against Judge Lewok?

A Conspiracy...To Die For

The nation is thrust into an unprecedented state of shock and disbelief as the newly appointed Prime Minister, the left-wing firebrand Jeff Christmas, is brutally assassinated en route to open the socialist Bookshop, "Sassy Poll".  

His revolutionary agenda, including turning Buckingham Palace into a Homeless Shelter, is put on the back burner as a new election is organized. 

Meanwhile, in a quiet Peak District village, a gathering of walkers expectantly await the climax of the ‘Muddy Boot Awards’ – little knowing that their lives would become intertwined with the death of their P.M.

A Reunion...To Die For

Set against the snowy backdrop of a Lakeland Youth Hostel in the winter of 1980.  This gathering is not just a reunion; it's a poignant rendezvous of friends and staff who once walked the hallowed halls of St. Todifer Catholic Boarding School two decades earlier.  The guests were invited by former pupil, Rick O'More,  to honour the memory of his twin sister, Kathryn, who disappeared without trace on 10th July 1960.

The weekend begins well with the group enjoying an evening of reminiscences.  But, tragically, when they awake on Saturday morning, they learn that the Matron’s son, Clifford Forthright, has been found lying in the snow, killed by a fatal blow from a heavy gardening spade.  Could his death be linked to Kathryn’s disappearance 20 years ago?

A Train Ride...To Die For

Our Murder Mystery begins on 21st January, 1938, at London Kings Cross with 12 passengers bound for Edinburgh aboard The Flying Scotsman.

Deep snow covers the line on the approach to Newcastle, the train grinds to a halt and tragedy strikes - one of the passengers, General John Seagrave, is found lifeless in his sleeper car. With no visible marks or signs of a struggle natural causes is the obvious conclusion, but a note found on his body reveals more sinister forces at play.

An increasing sense of horror creeps over the remaining passengers as they realise that one of them must have killed the victim for no other souls had entered or left the carriage since Kings Cross.

A Cruise...To Die For

Guests aboard a luxurious cruise liner find themselves trapped in an unforeseen nightmare. The once opulent voyage turns into a maritime crisis as the incompetent engineer grapples with failing engines, leaving the ship adrift in the vast ocean.

The newly married Buster Cunningham vanishes overboard, marking the start of a series of tragedies.

The unsettling incidents intensify with a mysterious 'locked room' death in one of the cabins, casting a veil of fear over the remaining passengers.

This is no 'Love Boat' voyage, as the once-celebratory atmosphere gives way to a palpable sense of dread and suspicion.

A Wedding...To Die For

Anticipation fills the air as guests gather at Todifer Hall, eagerly awaiting the grand union of French aristocrat Cari Frivolite and the wealthy Sir David Suave scheduled for the following day. However, the joyous occasion takes a dark and unexpected turn.

On her wedding morning Cari is brutally murdered. Strangled by thin wire and bludgeoned with an ice axe she collapsed on the floor of her room in a pool of her own blood.

At 9am Reverend Smarm, to his horror, stumbled upon her corpse. She was still in her nightclothes.  Before she bled to death Cari scrawled the word ‘MAD’ in blood on the floor – could this be a clue to the killer’s identity?
